I'm going to buy MY SHORT STORIES from Amazon Japan, because it is cheaper than HMV Japan, and free shipping too.

Not going to buy it from CD shop, lazy to look for stores which sell cheaper than Amazon Japan.

So I had a one day trip to Nikko and Edo Wonderland, with a bunch of international students. It was organised by Waseda University International Community Centre, for 3500 yen (RM 114), including one meal.

Damn cheap, because the entrance fee to Edo Wonderland itself already costs 3000+ yen.

There is another trip to Kamakura for 2000 yen. Being a YUI fan, I should have chosen this instead of Nikko, you know, Great Buddha, BARFOUT, Taiyou no Uta and all.


Our meal. I bought that Mocha from this interesting vending machine for 200 yen. I just had to try it out haha.

But Nikko is worth more the money, and it is located in another prefecture (Tochigi), instead of Tokyo ;P I can go to Kamakura by myself at some other time. One of my goals is to visit as many prefectures in Japan as possible. So far I've been to three out of 47 prefectures, which are Tokyo, Tochigi, and Chiba (Narita airport is located in Chiba muahaha).

It was kinda crowded, even during Friday. For more interesting/professional looking pictures and commentaries on Nikko, please check out asuna's blog, because I'm bad at taking pictures of buildings or sceneries, and describing things.

That two Koreans are married couples. I sat beside the Korean girl during the bus trip. With my one month only Korean, I kept telling her that she's yeppoyo, and we talked about random Korean superstars haha. She's actually the first Korean I know who likes Bae Yong Joon.

Oh she told me that every month, Lee Jun Ki will reply questions from his fans personally in his website. I was telling her that someone I know likes Lee Jun Ki a lot haha. The website is in Korean though, too bad.

Next, Edo Wonderland, which is around one hour away from Nikko.



I kinda studied Japan's history for one semester, so I kinda know this Edo period (1603-1868), which was under Tokugawa Shogunate.

Yeah, kinda. So it is interesting to see the buildings, culture, people, how it is like, how they dress during Edo period. You know, the half-bald hair?

Ninja is not really a Edo period thing though.



The ninja show was interesting, reminds me of kung fu movies.

On our way back, I bought this:


I got the cake cutter thing for getting full points in some quiz given by ICC members. The Korean girl and I kinda cheated in the quiz though.

We were in a rest stop and I found this Nikko Marimokkori. I told some Japanese students that YUI likes marimokkori so I like marimokkori too. One of the girl's response was:" I'm kinda...how do I say, shocked or...out of my expectation."

YUI has a good image XD We tried to explain what is a marimokkori on our way back, luckily someone looked up in wikipedia using his hand phone. Whew.

After that I had my first ever motion sickness on a bus @.@

School starts on tomorrow. Hmmmmm...

I met a bunch of cool Malaysians in that outing, guess that 3000 yen for the entrance ticket was quite well spent.

Through this blog and YL, YF, I kinda get to know YUI fans from Japan, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Canada, US, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Venezuela (haha), Brazil, France, Russia, Singapore etc. Recently Macau too.

Thanks to YUI, somehow I can 'boast' to others that I know someone someone from Japan, Canada, US, Venezuela, these 'exotic' countries. Though we are not THAT close, don't worry, your friends will not know. Yea I'm the proud arrogant Leo.

I'm going to Singapore on next Sunday (31st, 8.45 am bus from KL to SG), that makes the third trip in this year. First was around end of May, second time was around beginning of July.


Went to NTU. That is the most beautiful faculty building I've ever seen. Compare to my own faculty...haih. Picture taken by CCDDSS.

Singapore is the only foreign country which I can go frequently by bus = cheap. The bus fare for two way is just around 18 USD, and I stay in my uncle's house. I can go whenever I want as long as I have the time, don't really have to worry about the budget.

Plus ah Mel is there LOL. I can just take MRT or bus straight to her house, very convenient. Some half Singaporean Malaysian YLs are there too.

The main reason I go to Singapore to deliver stuff. I'm a postgirl. If I'm in luck, I'll receive something in return (cash in SGD lol).

This time I'm gonna deliver some books, notes and some of these:


That green thing in the middle is this marimokkori featured in Tachiyomi corner. YUI bought it for one of her staff. As for the magazine in the middle which featured Last Friend's cast, it is meant to make someone jealous.

In every trip, I always look out for great local food. I was kinda regretted that I didn't try any of the street food in my trip to Bangkok.

I've been hearing these 'wonderful comments' on SG hawker food from Malaysians, so far I haven't tried them yet. Most of the food I ate in SG were quite nice. Old Chang Kee, The Soup Spoon, MOS Burger, Yakun, Katong laksa (thanks to Helixius~), gotta love Mr. Bean XD

Ma Maison was an exception, even though the food was really great. Now I'm saying $$$ for something else, I'm a budget traveller, plus I'm acting as a 'postgirl', not tourist in this trip.

See, no hawker food at all, nor mamak. Okla, I've been to the canteen of NUS and NTU, some of them were nice, some just so-so. The fish rice thingy （魚片飯） in NTU is LOVE and cheap, vegetarian food in Singapore is love too.

If any of Singaporean YL knows hawker stalls (or cheap food) which can beat Malaysia's, and has the time to bring me there, I'll be glad to give one of those free papers/magazines/books as a token of appreciation.

So...cheap (below 10 bucks) hawker food and mamak (Prata, Tosai). Anyone? Btw, fellow MYYL, now SGYL natsumi is looking for nice food too. She's sick of the hawker food near Bishan.

And, I like this Yahoo interview on I LOVED YESTERDAY. The interviewer kinda teased YUI that she was shocked by the lyrics of Love is all, as a writer. She could feel that YUI really loves her songs.

Then when the interviewer asked whether YUI will say 'No way' to her boyfriend if he keeps on looking at mobile phone when they're on a date, YUI replied that maybe she will resist the urge and just say 'I'm fine', like in Namidairo.

To Singapore and Malacca YUI Lovers, CCDDSS is organising a Green Flying Marimokkori MO. She will be ordering from Strapya-world, GREEN only.

I think it is better for Singaporeans and Malacca YLs who have ordered from me, to order from CCDDSS instead.

Meanwhile, our small experiment turned out to be successful.


They are Made in China

CDS ordered 2 Green and 2 Blue from Rakuten's Kitanomori shop on February 27, then they shipped on March 6, and reached Singapore on March 10. The shipping fees was 1520 yen. Due to miscommunication, the shipping process was delayed.

CCDDSS:" You have to keep on bugging them with email, and ask for your ems tracking number also."

My suggestion is that it is better to order from them directly or do a country based Mass Order, to save up costs and time. I will still continue my order, because I wanted to buy the laughing one personally. The problem is, Kitanomori shop only has 2 Blue Marimokkori left.

We have to track down any shop who has 15 Blue marimokkoris. I emailed another shop, Tanukiya to check whether they will restock Blue ones, and within one hour, I received their reply. Apparently there are no manufacturers making this particular model at the moment, and currently there is still no news on when they are going to continue their production.

I will try other shops in these few days, lets hope that they will restock blue Marimokkori soon.

EDIT: I have placed an order at Marimoland. 14 Blue, 6 Green.

Here's the thing, my sensei will return Japan around April 3-5. It stated that they need more than 7 days to process everything, which means that I have to place order before March 27.

I will only order 20 Super Flying Marimokkoris. (the one without laughing voice)

You can choose either green or blue.

How much is this going to cost? (please calculate and convert it on your own in google. Eg: 800 yen in usd)

Marimokkori - 683 yen
Shipping fee to my sensei's house - 800 yen

Then, I have to sent it to you, from Malaysia.

As I was browsing through the YouTube links given by half banana dot com reader Kevin, this clip caught my attention.

I'm so gonna buy one of these. You have to pull harder in order to make it laugh lol. Currently the flying version is out of stock (!!). And it is slightly more expensive.

As requested by John, here's the rough estimation (in USD) if you want me to help you buy Marimokkori:

Flying Super Marimokkori (Blue, tax included) = USD 6.33
Hokkaido -> Tokyo (USD 7.42)

Then my sensei will bring a bunch of Marimokkoris back to Malaysia.

Malaysia -> You (Check Malaysia's Postage Rate here)

Since I'm not sure the actual weight of Marimokkori, for Canada (random pick), 250 grams by Air mail will cost USD 5.55.

I ain't gonna talk about YUI 3rd tour because it makes me sad.

There is a way to join YUI-net.club even though you're not staying in Japan, as long as you have $$$. They have this middleman service to help you, you just have to pay a 'small' fees to them.

Which means, we might have a new album before May 5. Maybe April 9.

The reason it took me so long to update because I was indulging myself in the world of Coffee Prince (Korean drama). I might dedicate a post for this drama lol. Now I'm having withdrawal syndrome, it's been a long time since I'm obsessed with a drama so much, some more a Korean drama. I'm so fired up to learn Korean now xD

Back to Marimokkori. I didn't receive any reply from the shop owner whether it is possible to send it overseas or not. If you guys want me to ask someone in Japan to buy, the shipping fee alone gonna cost a bomb. First, Marimokkori alone costs 683 yen. Second, the internet shop is in Hokkaido:

Hokkaido -> Other places in Japan (800 yen)
Japan -> Malaysia (EMS, roughly 900 yen)
Malaysia -> You (I wonder how much)

I know most of you guys are still student, so I don't think it's worth it to pay all these extra fees. Plus, it is troublesome. You have to send money to that person in Japan, and me.

Another better way is you buy it through Yahoo Japan Auction. If you cannot read Japanese or the seller doesn't ship overseas, you can ask FROM JAPAN to buy it for you. But the problem is, you might be scammed, since it is an auction website, and currently no one is selling that paricular model of Marimokkori (スーパーまりもっこり).

So, what's left?

My sensei is going back to Japan around April. I can ask the store to send it to her house, then she will bring back to Malaysia. Then I'll send it to you guys. That is the most I can do, under certain conditions:

1. You can send money to me (MYR or USD) via Paypal, money order, bank order, Western Union whatever. Don't ask me how.
2. I will only send Marimokkori to you after I have received the money.
3. No refund, no exchange. I am not responsible on any damages but I will make sure it is in good condition before sending it.
4. I will charge a small amount of 'processing fees'. You know, have to buy envelopes, and another USD 1/ MYR 3.
5. You have to be very patient, lol.

Funny that I only notice the truth between YUI and Marimokkori now.


The 'hanging' bulge was due to excessive pulling by whoever came across it. I cannot stuff back 'exposed white thing around the bulge' anymore T.T

As I mentioned on this Perverted Looking Doll called Marimokkori previously, part of it's name, Marimo means a type of green algae called Cladophora/Lake/Moss ball.

Besides turtles, gold fish and prawns, YUI has 2 Marimos too, Korosuke and Chibikoro. She got it as present from someone who went to Hokkaido.

I don't know whether her pets are still alive or not though. YUI mentioned her pets on FM Fukuoka YUI no Girl's Fight (27/05/2005), and she even asked her listeners to name her pets. YUI no Girl's Fight was YUI's regular radio show (every Friday) when she first debut, and it lasted for one year (01/10/2004 - 30/09/2005). Unlike YUI Locks, YUI talked a lot about herself in Girl's Fight, because she was still new back then. Plus, she had to talk non-stop on her own for 30 minutes, it is interesting seeing how she gradually improved herself, by comparing her old and recent radio shows. HUGE difference.

Back to Marimo. I guess that YUI's 'obsession' with Marimokkori started from the moment she received Marimo as present, lol. My senior has 2 marimos too, next time I'll show you guys.

Welcome to my room. Currently I'm reading that white book.

The name is Marimokkori (まりもっこり), marimo is some green algae from Hokkaido, as for mokkori....check the wiki entry above. Hence Marimokkori. I got it from Mari san. If you're a frequent reader of Mari's blog, she mentions this Mari-mokkori quite often. My friendship with Mari san started because of Marimokkori too.


I want to fry well~ Note: If you pull that rounded thing on its red underwear, Marimokkori will vibrate. LOL.

It all started when she was trying to figure out what's that thing hanging on YUI's backpack in YUI Radio #18, and she was going to buy the green version of Marimokkori (Scroll down to bottom, that poo-poo bear looks cute too LOL).

Me, being a super detail YUI observer, happened to notice that the Marimokkori on YUI's backpack, as shown in 23 October 2006 YUI Locks was blue instead.

For the first time, I posted a comment in Japanese blog. It was quite scary, maybe due to inferiority complex. Back then I was really a timid person, always think that I will be eaten by others because I lack of something. Lol.

Right now, we still cannot determine whether YUI's Marimokkori is wearing blue or green jersey. It depends on your own preference, Mari san told me that green one is sold out at the moment, so she couldn't send me both. Because of YUI?!

Even Namie Amuro introduced Marimokkori to the 2 'evil' hosts in HEY HEY HEY. That shows how popular it really is.

If you think that YUI is innocent, think again. From Marimokkori to pro wrestling, to that Oppappi guy......

We are a bunch of obsessed YUI fan. Whatever YUI has, we'll make a big fuss over it haha. Every time I look at it, especially that pair of pervert-ish eyes, I just couldn't stop laughing lol. Besides Marimokkori, dear YUI mentioned in her diary before that she is collecting different sizes of Rirakkuma dolls after she read the Rirakkuma picture book. Since someone gave her Rirakkuma phone strap, she wanted to collect other merchandise such as cushion etc.

Rirakkuma = A bear who likes to relax, me likey lol. I would like to read the picture book too someday. Since the diary was written 2 years ago, I wonder how large YUI's collection of Rirakkuma is right now......

Maybe she has more Marimokkori stuff now, I think I saw her phone strap in Thank you My teens DVD was Marimokkori too, have to double check it first.

PS: I just realised how kakkoii dear YUI is in this poster. The poster is from March 2006 issue of B-Pass. If I'm not mistaken.
