Dissapointment

After a long wait, finally get to see YUI performing Rolling Star live (on TV). First up it's on Music Fighter.

Even though she looks nice in this, kawaii wah very white ah skin so smooth yada yada yada, but she LIP-SYNCHED for the first time in history.

Yea.

As I was 'worrying' about the over-exposure thing yesterday, it kinda came true.

According to the drummer (at the back), this performance was recorded on 21st December 2006. Around the time when her voice condition were so bad until alot of her fans wondering if she's ok. I wonder how she managed to sing Rolling Star acoustic in YUI Locks Christmas special.

That's not an excuse though. Someone at jpopmusic said that it's normal for the producers to dub over the original recording if it turns out wasn't so good.

Back to the performance. Throughout 2 mins of the live performance, it is obvious that she lip-synched. Emotionless expressionless, looks tired, YUI 'constipated' trademark barely visible, messing around with the chords and strumming patterns, can't even bring herself to open her mouth (quoted from different comments). She looks sad = (

My explanation: She did it purposely. Ok sorta haha. As a way to protest for not being able to sing it live or being forced to perform under such condition. I don't about how YUI feels, but for a singer, being forced to lip-synch gotta affect their pride or something, hence the 不甘願 performance. Because being YUI-stalker for such a long time, I never seen her performing such an.....'unwilling' live. Normally people who 'loves' to lip-synch won't make such faces haha.

This made me wonder: Maybe because of this......
1. No Kouhaku (turned down the offer)
2. No CDTV special or other TV live performances during end of the year.
3. Last minute decided to attend Music Station (cos alot of fans requested??)
4. The drummer worried about her performance in Music Station which was a day later.
5. Why she so nervous during MSSL.
6. This performance was not listed on her official website.
7. She decided to sing Rolling Star in YUI Locks even though she doesn't have to.

Hope that this shall be the first and the last as well. Lets see the rest of the performances in Music Station (a live show so...), CDTV (I have a bad feeling about this) and Popjam. Really wanna see the rest asap.

Sorry for wasting your time to read this pointless post lol. Just wanna clear up something. Seems that being an artist is hard, especially if you have the looks + talent LOL. Sacrifice talent or $$$? Listen to the company or obey?

Ok I should go outside more now, and not analyzing people haha. This is just my biased point of view anyway. This shall be my biggest rant, ever.
