Xeroderma pigmentosum

What's with the title lol. Just watched House episode 3x09, Finding Judas. Apparently the illness of patient of the week has something to do with Taiyou no Uta.

No she didn't get Xeroderma pigmentosum like what Kaoru got in the movie, something similar, which is Erythropoietic protoporphyria. One sensitive to sunlight (UV rays), the other allergic to lights. Kinda interesting so thought of sharing it with people who loves watching House (maybe the producers got inspiration from the movie, nah don't think so). What's with the Science talk from an arts student anyway lol, I once used to be Biology student too (in case you don't know). Maybe this has something to do with my obsession on medical dramas.

Recently read a lot of stuff from different people, met some old friends back, these got me thinking, am I really changed? Well I've quited quite a number of stuff since graduated from high school.

  • food made from peanuts, bad for my face, cannot quit chocolate though.
  • watching Hong Kong dramas.
  • Today I quited watching Nip/Tuck, a show that I once thought that it was the best medical drama. Can't stand the 'craziness' anymore. Julia's absence will be the reason I can come up with.
  • not to keep on contact with certain people I've known over the years. There's no point continuing it if they still don't give a damn about you, since the day you knew them. Well, unless it has something to do with 'expand your contacts', then that's another different story. Difference in how we view things can be part of it too. Entering National Service made me realised the importance of friendship but, after numerous attempt to keep in touch yet got unwilling response, I'm back to my old self again. Just like what House always says:"People don't change." Maybe not within a short span of time.
  • since I'm kinda affected by the single rant thingy on YUI lover, I'll 'leak' abit here. Decided to call if off about the possibility of me having a future with that someone. For me, the main attribute must be someone who shares the same interest with me. Since I don't talk much (unless you force me to or I found something to rant about), I think watching DVDs/ movies or play online games together are quite fun haha. Those geeky stuff.
Seems that I'm becoming slightly 'sentimental' in this post., maybe because I have to go back to university soon....must rant longer. Even though I'm no longer continue on doing certain things, but I will still:
  • Have faith on people.
  • Keeping myself happy everyday haha. By starting it off with a cup of coffee LOL.
  • wait for other people to make the first move, yea mentality problem.
  • Being picky on things.
  • Enjoy sleeping. Better than 'forced' to attend certain occasions or study some stupid subjects.
Relationships is complicated, try to make it simpler lol. If bored, find some hobby. Sounds simple, but hard (not for me though, I only have money problems haha....oh appearance as well, I'll have it when I meet up with people =/).

Live life to the fullest~

Now, I must start doing my homeworks, assignments and what not T.T oh and record something.

Till then, ciao~

2nd Year Anniversary Since Debut

Album: Chatmonchy - Miminari (耳鳴り),Base Ball Bear - High Color Times

Yesterday I went to Mid Valley with Emily aka Lin Bor. And found out that all those mega sales just ended few days ago zzz, there goes my new Hush Puppies/ Puma ='( Have to wait till March then. Decided to go and watch some movie instead, but the queue was freaking long -_-""

Then I heard the announcement that we can go and buy tickets for certain movies at Gold Class counter. Dreamgirls was one of it. I quickly dragged Emily from that long-@ss line and went to that counter. Woot, we got the tickets within 5 minutes lol, and we got the seats furthest from the screen (赚到了~). Apparently most of people queuing didn't understand English or busying cuddling or something, most of them didn't hear the announcement. No wonder the hall was only 25% full for this movie.

Back to the movie. Finally I watched ONE movie which is 'associated' with Oscar. I can't really remember what was the last musical themed movie I've watched. Taiyou no Uta??? LOL that's not musicals. And you have to pay attention on the lyrics when you're watching musicals, just realised it haha, no wonder I don't feel a thing when I watched Moulin Rouge or Chicago back then.

Throughout the movie I can't help but kept 'connecting' dear YUI with the characters in the movie >.< Since this movie is about singers and their struggles, stuff like that. Seems that once you got very famous you will start smoking + drinking or doing drugs =/ And you will be forced to make songs or do things that are not in your to-do lists. Black Girl doing Cleopatra??? Hmm....Anyway, I like that they picked 'real' singers to play some of the main characters in the movie. Don't get me wrong, Eddie Murphy was AWESOME in the movie (I couldn't even recognise him without the mustache lol), maybe my 'twisted mind' prefer that actors should stick with acting, singers should focus on singing, other things do it as a side project or something.....easier for us to remember, now I forgot how Hugh Jackman's and Nicole Kidman's singing voices was like haha......although Jennifer Hudson might get Oscar first instead of Grammy's......because of THAT scene.

I've enjoyed the whole movie, there was no boring moments I suppose, even though it was over 2 hours long. I like the upbeat singing parts the most, makes me wanna dance =D though some of the singing can be quite 'weird', it was like 'singing the dialogues' out =/ I shall go and get the soundtrack. 'We are a family~' Malaysia should show more movies like this, and should be uncensored, still remember the horror watching censored version of Miami Vice....ahem.....

After movie I went to post office to get another parcel (Nobody is at home again when the postman send the package....).

Now I have 2 'scarred' Tommorow's Way =/ Wonder I should be happy about it or not. The condition of the replaced one was worse than the one I first received. Still, I will buy CHE.R.RY from HMV Japan, because I'm cheap =P

Today is the day YUI debuted as a singer 2 years ago~ Happy 2nd anniversary (^7^)/~~

I haven't ate any mandarin oranges during this Chinese new year.....that's another record xD

Till then, アデュー♪

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Wee~ It's new year \(^7^)/~~ 新年快樂!!

I love this big red pineapple =D Received alot of forwarded new year messages, gotta reply it soon -_-" Even YUI Lover forum is in RED bwahaha....

Speaking of red (yes I'm gonna bring up dear YUI again), the other day she attended Japan Academy Awards (for winning Best Newcomer along with 6-7 other people).

Since it is a big event, guess what she wears???

RED KIMONO~!!

(picture taken from Mari san's blog)

微笑小林子 at YUI-CN managed to get the recorded file, this screenie is too CUTE, just have to take it and post it here xD

*Gasp* It was the first time we got the chance to see her wearing 'traditional costume' on TV. She said it in her diary that it was the first time she wore kimono as well (hmm....). Was thinking of her wearing a dress actually, everybody elses thought that too. And bam, kimono lol. YUI really likes to surprise us fans >.< She was the first to come up from backstage but the last to arrive on stage lol, bet it's hard to walk wearing something like this.

(Source: Mari san's blog and here)

Looks like she was the only 'younger generation' who wore traditional style clothing lol, plus it's red. Strikes out among the rest LOL *good job~*. You can watch the interview here. It was REALLY short T.T As usual, YUI's answer was short as well. Plus they EDITED it, makes it even shorter. A Japanese fan who attended the award ceremony actually wrote a report about it, here's the 'longer' version of the interview.

Host: Congratulations
YUI: Thank you
Host: Before that, we met before last time right? Do you still remember?
YUI: No, I don't think so (laughs)<-- She was joking actually, the audience laughed as well.
Host: (trying to recall YUI's memory, we did appear in a TV show or something)
YUI: Yes I remember.
Host: Ah, that's great (looks relieved).
Host: (asked something like what's the difference between acting and singing).
YUI: Aah...I really learned a lot of things from it.
Host: Oh is that so...Seems that Nagasawa Masami is one of your big fan as well, Nagasawa-san, which part of YUI do you think is the most attractive?
Nagasawa: I think her voice is great (she looks like a little YUI fan when answering the question).
Host: (asking YUI) She said that your voice is great, what do you think about that?
YUI: I'm very happy.
Host: Well, thank you and congratulations on the winning.

It's great to know that Nagasawa Masami is actually a big YUI fan =D YUI looked really happy when she heard Nagasawa's answer. I love to watch Nagasawa's shows. Me, Masami san and dear YUI are all 19 years old 'rabbits' lol~ YUI's gonna turn 20 first though haha.

Aiks accidently clicked publish. Going to Muar later, hope to get as many angpaus as possible lol. Congrats to dear YUI for winning best newcomer for her debut movie, Taiyou no Uta~ (Note: along with 7 other people).

Oh yea YUI got number one in CDTV's Best Girlfriend award thing too, surpassed Otsuka Ai, Koda Kumi, Ayumi and others lol. Someone wrote it in her message board that he was kinda sad about it because this means YUI is getting more 'idolised'. Kinda agree with him at certain degree too. Wonder what YUI thinks about this.....

Happy Chinese New Year~ (been eating a lot these few days....)

EDIT: And Hamasaki Ayumi wore kimono too in her latest PV, part of Me.

Ok I was more focus on the make-up when I took these caps haha, actually it's quite pretty, and it matches the main theme of this entry too, RED. A blogger thought this PV as "Ju-on: The Grudge 3 coming out in 2008 starring Ayumi Hamasaki!" lol I thought so too. I don't know what's the point with '螳螂捕蝶,蟒蛇在后' theme though.

Ok enough editing, adieu~

CHE.R.RY PV

EDIT: YUI's official website has changed to CHE.R.RY theme~ Woot x6 multiply!!! Loving the green-ish nature theme now =D Doesn't suit the 'chinese new year' mood though haha.

I still remember the day when all of us forum members trying to get this PV as fast as possible lol. It was fun, seeing torrent -> screencaps -> mirrors -> youtubed within a few hours. Here is the latest PV from dear YUI, CHE.R.RY, which will be released on 7 of March.

Before that, why put dots in the middle of the title??? From this radio program report by a fan, dear YUI explained that from the title, it kinda showed the bitter sweetness of the cherry itself (in love), the dots represented the unrequited, one-sided love (My own understanding: not connected together the word, hence one-sided). Plus she said that it became more kawaii, with the dots representing the cherries 'popping' out.....(ok I have no idea what am I trying to explain now....)

Then we have soft-subbed version too =D Thanks to s0l1dsn8k3 @ YUI Lover. With reference from fantasii-lyrics and a couple of rearrangements by himself.

Was happy that he actually took one line of my translated version LOL. Nyahahahhah.....still have long way to go though -_-"""

Credits, wee~ got my name LOL. Glad at least I can contribute something, learned a lot from it as well. It's been a fun process =)

Back to the pv, too lazy to capture caps, just go download it at leeching corner haha. It's fun to read comments from different people around the world. While generally for the Japanese, as usual, only said good things about this song, lets see people from Chinese and English forums have to say:

English Forum:
Happy YUI = Happy me
Poppy
CUTE, smiles a lot
Different from previous
kinda disappointed

Chinese forum:
Chubby,变肥了,下巴不见了 (dear YUI likes food)
Colorful
Cute, 可爱~
Fairy tale-ish
Filled with happiness

Didn't mean anything anyway, just my observation. Always having fun reading comments about things that I like, regardless good or bad, as long as it is constructive. As for me, the more I watch it the more I like it. At first I thought this pv was just normal poppy-girly pv, nothing much happened, as if lack of something, something is not right....

No YUI trademark 'constipated' look.

YUI just mimicked lyrics and didn't really sing it out. My pickyness came out again. But then if she sings this song in twisted weird looking face, might lost it's sweet, happiness meaning in the lyrics lol. It's good to have a change from time to time, been hearing a lot of people missing the old YUI. As a self-claimed 'older' fan, as long as she is still the same shy, thoughtful, hardworking YUI, I will still continue inspired by her. One of the biggest reason I adore her so much. Alot of other singers can sing hella lot better than her, prettier than her, it's her personality that shines out among others. The more I read or watch her interviews, the more I respect her as an artist. You might say that the real YUI might be a b!tch, you don't really know unless you met her in person. If that's the case gotta applaud her for putting up such a 'great acting' in front of the media.

As for the spamming thing, I suppose it went quite well haha, seeing all those messages from fellow forum mates in YUI's message board were one of the best a single person can receive during Valentine's day LOL. Here's mine:

Realised that there's another better way to write it after posted it....aiks. Some even spammed more than 5 times, hopefully dear YUI won't get annoyed when she read it =X

Thought of changing my template to red since Chinese New Year coming.....bought myself a red T-shirt too yesterday at Mid Valley haha....had some unexpected encounters as well....

Till then, au revior~

Books that 'flied' here

The package I received is getting bigger and bigger.

This is the first time I buy books online. Reason: Wanted to buy YUI's All Songs Score book. Since it is edited by dear YUI so decided to try buying books online instead of relying on Kinokuniya which is famous for being expensive. It is the first time I bought a Guitar magazine too.

My total collections of Japanese magazines, not much but these stuff took away almost 50% of my monthly pocket money T.T That's way I have to eat bread + packet milo every noon. Luckily I can read a little bit of Japanese if not I'll be killed by my mom for spending money on these.....

I'm learning Winter Hot Music now =D This book is a must buy for all YUI-guitarist fans out there.

Thought of showing some more stuff about me since now I have the camera lol. I live in this place during school time. I'll be kicked out from this place soon though. Because I'm not active enough to 'extend' my stay ='( Or should I say, I never bothered to join any of those activities, karma haih.

My desk in the hostel. Notice the amount of bottles there. And yes I don't have a laptop, I can only watch dear YUI from that 2-inch screen every day.

What I drink when I'm out of 'water supply'.

I just cleaned my 'other' desk in my house. It'll become dusty in a few days again for sure....humidity....good for skin, bad for household chores. My mom forbids us to paste things on the wall, so I don't have the habit to stick stuff here and there =/ Have to find a 'table' for the scanner soon, bet it is sick of sitting on the cold floor all the time.

That's all.

*Goes to practice guitar~*

EDIT: Oh half an hour to go to Valentine.....I have spamming project to do that day (^7^)v~~

MTV April 2005

Just heard at radio that Hamasaki Ayumi's Asia Tour tickets were sold out within 3 hours in both Hong Kong and Taiwan =/ It was one of my dreams to attend her concerts, even though now I'm over her (found new one lol), I still think that her concerts are one of the best I've seen, visually stunning plus they way she interacts with her fans are fun. I still remember the moves of some of her songs lol, too bad she ain't coming to Singapore (the furthest I can go), was quite disspointed about that.

Come to think of it, if YUI became THAT popular, how am I gonna 'fight' for those tickets? Queue up for 3 days 3 nights? If she really go to places outside Japan to perform and not Malaysia, I think I'll gone insane. In the end the best way is still, fly myself to Japan. Might have higher chances. Not sure about the ticketing system there but from what I heard, the tickets will be distributed to different sources, such as how many percents for fanclub, sponsers, and what not, left only a few to be sold. Secretly I hope that she won't be that popular before I have the chance to see her in person LOL.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

End of crap. I promised to translate this video if someone 'steals' it for me, don't expect 100% accurate though, because I'm lazy to look up in dictionaries lol. It was an interview at April 2005, back then dear YUI was even more shy so her answers were quite interesting lol. Only around 4 minutes long though.

Why chose to sing?
*long pause*......why am I singing huh? *laughs*

Erm It was during first year of high school, I did part time jobs and went to school at the same time. That time I was extremely busy, unable to pursue music. But the only thing that I like was singing so I continued it everyday. I kept on thinking whether is there any way to do music, or not. Until one day I was too exhausted and ended up in hospital. During that period I have a lot of time to think about music. From there I was able to see myself pursuing music as a career.

*plays It's happy line*

Normally I will jot down things that I thought of, things that I felt, things appeared in the news and a lot of other stuff, write down it as if writing a diary.

*plays an awfully familiar unknown English song, someone please solve the mystery*

One by one.....*thinks deeply*......I'm very glad to receive comments on what the listeners think of, what they felt on my songs.

Precious things...

'I'm going to Tokyo~' during that day, I brought along turtle and gold fish......guitar and turtle and goldfish and rucksack (backpack). That's all I brought along to Tokyo.

Camera by YUI
These are our house's (咱們家的) goldfishes and turtles. This is Turtle no.1, Turtle no.2 and Turtle no.3. As for the gold fishes....

They are just like my family, as if part of the member staying in the house. I will take a look at them for sure when I came back. They have some sort of 'healing effect'.

Guitar is something that I can't live without it. It is always by my side. It calmed me down after playing, something like that.

Do you like people..?
(I like this part the most lol..)
Erm...people, there are times that I like about them and there are times I dislike them.

What makes you like them?
When there's LOVE.

What makes you hate them?
Em...what would it be?....when there's no love.

Message....
*a very long pause*....Let's work hard together.

Male voice: Work hard on what?
On living.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Additional info: YUI named her turtles based on chracters in Doraemon lol, Nobita, Suneo and Giant. As for the 2 gold fishes, Swimy(スイミー)and Kyoro-chan(キョロちゃん), she got the name for her gold fishes at some radio program. Sorry about the weird colour choice, too lazy to try one by one haha.

Spent a whole afternoon translating a 4 mins long clip LOL.

Till then, adieu.

CHE.R.RY

Dear YUI has been quite active lately, she is going to release another single on March 7 (album leh???). It is a spring-themed song called CHE.R.RY. You can read about the 'discussion' on the title here.

Again, the font ruined the cover. The left of is limited edition, comes with bonus DVD. It's something different from her previous covers though, now they have 'living things' besides dear YUI. Since I still regret about not getting the limited edition of 'I remember you'(now sold out =/ ), I'm gonna get this for sure.

At first I only translated a small part of the song for fellow YUI lover members, after listened to the full song, can't help but translated the whole thing. This was my first ever lyrics translation so please be kind lol. This is probably the most 'direct' love song by her, love the 'directness' hee, read at somewhere that this is about the bittersweet of first love, hmm.....Some previews in Youtube:

PREVIEW from her website
PV Preview

At first I planned to type copy paste the japanese lyrics here, but seems that nobody did that so, to avoid being sued (actually I did alot of things to get myself in trouble in this blog anyway...):

Japanese lyrics from her website

CHE.R.RY
Lyrics: YUI
Melody: YUI

It trembled on my palm And that developed into a small courage
I was never into emoticons But if they are from you I will become excited

It is bad to reply right away I heard it from someone
But such tricks are beyond me and I cannot do it

...I really like you ah ah ah ah

I fell in love, but you probably haven't noticed
In the starry night Filled with wishes CHE.R.RY
~Within my fingertips I send you a message

Cherry blossoms are blooming
Right now I rather exchange 10 seconds of the full view from this room
And get to know what you're feeling

I don't mind even if it's just one line I wish to have words from you
Even if it's a lie I'm still able to continue believing it

....Because I like you ah ah ah ah

I fell in love, but you probably haven't noticed
In the starry night Filled with wishes CHE.R.RY
~Within my fingertips I send you a message

The sweeten fruit is nice
Wish to get to know you more starting from casual conversations
ah ah ah ah

The beginning of love I felt as if my heart 'twitched'
Because I will wait for you no matter what
The message that filled with cold night winds of spring

I fell in love, but you probably haven't noticed
In the starry night Filled with wishes CHE.R.RY
~Within my fingertips I send you a message

(copyrighted by me lol)
Thanks to aihart92011yui and tokyostory @YUI lover for 'correcting'+ fine-tune my crappy first attempt =D At first I planned to do it in Malaysian English becuase I can convey it better haha but then it might caused alot of confusion so I soften it down abit to be more 'universal'. Tried to minimised the grammatical error as well T.T It's hard. You'll love this song more once you know the meaning behind it, enjoy~ Tell me what you think.

Can't wait for the full PV now~ Yay for my first lyrics translation haha.....actually I already did another one but....just stay tune =P

More Rolling Star....

Album: Aqua Timez - Kaze wo atsumete, mihimaru GT - mihimania, Monkey Majik - thank you

I'm in faculty's computer lab now, thought of writing something. This should be posted earlier though, due to laziness haha.

Managed to download a bunch of 'Rolling Star' TV performances for the past few weeks.

Arranged by date, first up is Music Station (26/01/07)

Before this, dear YUI promised that she will do something (hand gestures) for listeners of YUI radio. Hence during the intro, she purposely wore the white wristband on her palm and kinda 'showed' it around.

And then during performance, she put the wristband on the headstock of her Tele!!! I was like, woah. She really did keep her promise, and came up with such idea lol. *salutes* (it is very easy to please a fangirl like me LOL) I should try it out someday, first have to get the wristband and ereki though. As for the performance, the setting was too red-ish for my taste, plus the dry ice reminded me of my previous job.....kinda noisy as well =P But this was the most energetic performance among all, with swinging heads and stuff like that =D

NHK showed her perf at Popjam too on the same day.

This is her best perf so far imo, vocally. I didn't quite like the 'live-ish' mic sound though. Wonder why she brought along her Tele to do song introduction, even though it was kakkoii haha.....

Then CDTV on 27/01/07.

I like the setting on this one. No audience on this one, maybe that's why dear YUI sounded more reserved and didn't do the head swinging thing just like in MS.

Yea she wore the same outfit in every performance. But the white T-shirt in MS was slightly different though. If you look clearly there's are red-hearted shape thing just near the collar of the black 'shirt'. Lol I really have nothing to do.

AND she sang 'live' in all the performances. Guess the one in Music Fighter really a one time thing. That perf will be 'sealed' in my HD forever.

Oh and I finally watched the long waited Top Runner. After watched Angela Aki's interview in this show, kinda have an idea of what this show is all about. I have no idea why they are comparing artists with food.....YUI ain't beef steak or whatever -_-""

As usual, she seems to have a hard time answering all those questions thrown at her, always trying to 'find' the most appropriate way or suitable word choice to convey her thoughts.

I love the Q&A session =D You can clearly see YUI expression changed when she faced her fans. She is less nervous and started to smile more, kinda relieved I suppose. Too bad they only shown 2 of the questions =( The first guy asked what she expects the most in order to have the best live performance. Then the other cute little girl asked her about what words she likes the most coming from her mother. Dear YUI spent a long time thinking about it lol......I'm kinda do that often as well, especially during Japanese classes, whenever my sensei asks me something that is very general or abstract I suppose, I will 'throw' the questions to my classmates immediately. Will only answer it after I came up with something hee. If you listen to YUI radio, dear YUI always 'throw' the questions pointed to her back to Shigezou san, however she cannot do this in Top Runner haha.....

We got the chance to listen to YUI's demo for her 2nd album when she was explaining + demo what YUI語 (YUI language) is~ I like the sound of it, hopefully it will be one of the songs in her new album =D

She sang 3 songs in this show, all full length and live band too =D Got Rolling Star too, I love it when she sang without using mic in the last chorus of TOKYO, just like the one in her first live tour. Reminds me of Ayumi in her later concerts haha.

Oh yeah, the headphone in Rolling star PV, someone in the forum found out the model. Click here and scroll down. I don't think I will buy it though.....shipping alone will cost me a fortune =/

This blog is slowly going to be a fanblog lol.....next post will be something like this as well. But it will something more artistic, I think. Having holiday now, might have more time to share my fangirl-ism haha.

Things that will make you happy 2

Our Lumix camera managed to survive from the coldness in France and came back safely....thought of taking some pics to commemorate it.

I went to the post office twice for the past 2 weeks, to get these:

Because I was not at home when the postman sent it. Luckily every time I drive to school I'll kinda pass by the post office. (If you're wondering where, it's Pos Laju at Bangi)

The content of the first package:

2 of the CDs were scratched and one slightly cracked. Since I'm a cheap person, I asked for replacement.

Hence the arrival of the second package: (they asked me to 'dispose' the cracked ones, for me, 'dispose' means ‘賺到了’ haha.....

This time they 'added' another layer of bubble wrap.

Now I have 2 'feel my soul'.......hmm maybe I should replace the case and make 'profit' from it LOL.

Might as well take a 'group photo':

Back....just wanna show off the first press of Rolling Star, which comes along with Bleach sticker.

From the side......

The funny thing is when I checked my order at HMV Japan, it stated that they replaced 2 CDs for me. But I only received one =/ And the track number was different....weird. Guess that things just won't come that easy lol.....and I have to accpet the fact that the 'Tommorow's way' CD case has a scar...

Left 3 to go now.....and HMV Jp is having another sale, 15% off on selected Sony music artists, and yes dear YUI is one of them. There goes my angpau money....

I should go and do my homework now.....
