I LOVED YESTERDAY - I will love you lyrics

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Misc Rants on March 27 YUI LOCKS:

I listened to this when I was commuting to work.

That Sapporo guy reminds me of Hata Motohiro. Me (and YUI) love his voice.

YUI x Hata Motohiro......nice collaboration?

Piano x Dreamatone x Drum version of CHE.R.RY was GREAT too!! 12 years old these days...*ashamed* Mari chan wants to join badminton club too when she enters secondary school. Every time I hear CHE.R.RY's intro, I'll get all 'goosebumps'. Superb cover!! Saikou~

Btw, Dreamatone is something like this. It is the name of a synthesizer by Kawai, with two keyboards. Hence YUI (and me) didn't know what Dreamatone is, just like when we talk about Telecasters and Stratocasters in front of non guitar players haha.

Japanese dialects are interesting, both Hakata and Hiroshima dialects. Good thing that I have learned a little bit of them this semester. Can understand abit.

In Jyuugyou ato no hitokoto, YUI said that she'll play three songs from new album I LOVED YESTERDAY in next week.

Let me guess...No way, Love is all, and OH YEAH??

Our present will be delayed for another week then. Maybe more than a week, because YUI has to promote her new album.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will love you

YUI: It's not I love you, but I will love you.

Listen it at YouTube.
Chords: tsunvun86
Chinese translation: triperさん
Romanji: Ibara no Umi
English translation: Teo aka atheon
(Special thanks to ah Mel and Fuji Apple for helping out)

Lyrics: YUI
Music: COZZi

Close the book that I have been reading
I received a call from you unexpectedly
Wanting you to take me out
Without thinking further I say Right after this

Nee come and pick me up

Even though you were smiling unenthusiastically
On the other side of phone
You answered. Didn't you?
When we started getting to know each other, even by just a bit
That kind of joy I'm feeling it
I will love you.

With T-shirt matching jeans
In my usual clothes Not even try to dress up
Looking at myself through the mirror
I'm sorry, do forgive me

Car horn sounds

Even though you were smiling unenthusiastically
From the car window You waved your hands toward me
When we started getting to know each other, even by just a bit
That kind of joy I'm feeling it
I will love you.

Every time love starts to take off
I always suffer from all these negative dreams
These feelings seem to go away
As the time quietly passes by

When our eyes met each other That serious look of yours
startled me even more than usual
Ah, is it my imagination?
When we started getting to know each other, even by just a bit
I'm feeling you
I will love you.

I LOVE YOU~

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure you guys will love this song even more once you understand the lyrics. As the album director, Hishashi Kondo puts it:

Love is filled with things such as insecurities and missing out each other. The moment when we realised that we are in love.

This beginning of love
Which has never had before

Being able to be oneself as spontaneously as possible
Feeling the joy of oneself

We present you this affectionate and charming song.

In my opinion, the melody and arrangement of the song will decide whether you'll like it or not on the first listen. However, it's the lyrics which is gonna decide your love towards certain song. When I first hear I will love you, the arrangement caught me. I like it's soothing, relax-y combination of drums and guitars.

And then the lyrics, it is simple and straight forward. I don't really believe in love at first sight, falling in love should be something like what YUI described in this song. As you get to know that person bit by bit, your feelings toward that person will get stronger and you will start to think: Okay, I might love this person. You wanted to make yourself more presentable in front of that person but at the same time, you don't want to be too obvious. Hence, it is better to remain as it is, being yourself.

My friend once told me, if your impression towards certain person starts with 100% (aka perfect match), 100% can only go further down but not up, or worse, fluctuates lol. If certain person leaves you a bad impression (maybe 10%), as you know more about that person, the percentage will slowly go up at the same time. I think this is what I will love you is all about. Loving someone should be joyful, not suffer.

期望越大,失望越大。(Higher expectations, bigger disappointment).

Sometimes we should be more contented. Simplicity is the best. I love to play this song too, because it is not too difficult to sing along, haha.

Somehow I started to think that I LOVED YESTERDAY really will be the 'Greatest Third Album', like what YUI said confidently in almost every interview. We shall wait and see.

Oh I think I will like other 'love songs' xD

Finally, a live performance of Laugh away~ I LOVE Bokura no Ongaku~

YUI, Happy 21st Birthday!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Misc YUI updates:

YUI just finished performing TOKYO and Laugh away at Haru-uta (TV show).

I wonder what's next, something like what she did together with Suzanne?

And, lyrics of I LOVED YESTERDAY are out at Uta-net or check them out here.

I wonder why so many love related songs (5 out of 9 new songs, if I'm not mistaken), and the lyrics are getting more and more direct.

Me not really a fan of love songs. Guess I'll have to accept that...maybe some big news will come up, SOON.

*speculating*

Don't believe in everything I wrote.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's 9.27 pm (Japan time) now. I'm feeling very sleepy. Normally I sleep at 10-11 pm (Japan time).

So here's my early birthday wish,

YUIさん、21歳の誕生日、おめでとうございます!

May your wishes come true. Buy as many CDs, books, guitars you want. Feel free to donate me your Squier if you ran out of space in your house.

Keep rocking on~

March 26 is the day YUI's birthday and at the same time, it is the day Beethoven passed away (Source: YUI Radio).

Hopefully you will receive our present to you. Happy 21st birthday.

Do you guys still remember that Thank you My Teens documentary they did on her birthday last year? If no, watch it now with English subs!

Teo, out to bed.

half-banana Goes to Bangkok and Meet Thai YUI fans

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Misc YUI Facts:

YUI gave 29 Dunlop Tortex guitar picks to a listener in March 20 YUI LOCKS.

Actually she gave away 100 picks to 6 fans, as a way of showing her appreciation to fans who have left comments and suggestions in message board.

Twenty nine picks?! I've been using the same grey Dunlop Nylon 0.60 pick for the past few months, YUI sensei (or anyone), please spare me some........

Next week, one song from YUI's upcoming album, I LOVED YESTERDAY will be aired, don't miss it!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I heart PINK taxis.

Last week I went to Bangkok to participate in a language conference, and presented a paper I wrote in my research paper class last year.

Besides YL Forum, we have Brazil, Hong Kong, France, Philippine YUI fans forums. And of course, YUI Thailand Fan Club. Since I never been to Thailand, plus I only know a few Thai words, the best way to ask for assistance is from local people.

So where can I find Thais to help me out?? Inspired by YLs outings from all over the world, I was thinking, why not meet up with Thai YUI fans as well?

Hence I joined YUI Thailand Fan Club and posted a few questions on my trip and I was really surprised that I received warm welcome by the members, especially artunee and kun_cheero. This is how we 'met'.

Frankly, when I first reached Bangkok, I was overwhelmed by the foreign-ness. I cannot speak Thai language, I was damn worried about my first ever conference presentation, waiting for my friends in a foreign airport in the middle of night, unable to make calls, every thing was so, out of place. At first, I didn't even dare to talk with anyone. Mostly because of my own fault because I didn't do any proper research before coming here, you know, busy with schools, worrying, YUI-ing and a bunch of other stuff. I let my other friend to do the planning.

Thanks to these local YUI fans, I didn't have to worry much and let them do all the talking lol. Thai people are REALLY nice, especially Thai YUI fans, of course. Thank you for treating me and my friends Tom Yam Kung, Green Curry and Mango Sticky rice xD

For the very first time, Teo appeared in half-banana dot com. I have a super sensitive skin. It's not because that I was surrounded by so many guys (Ton, Kun, Palm, and Art).

To Fuji Apple: Now I know why you said my Wu~wang is cacat (distorted), that's neither wu nor wang. I was the one who explained the Wu~wang phenomenon, yet failed to demonstrate the proper 'wu' or 'wang'. OMG.

YUI様、申し訳ございません…orz
(YUI my lady, I'm terribly sorry about this *bows down*)

I even received three YUI T-shirts from them, I will iron them nicely soon...

Thank you Bossa for designing such nice shirts and Ton for Taiyou no Uta flyers ^_^ The movie was shown in Thailand too, why no Malaysia??

To Palm: Thank you for the CD. And driving us back in your nice car. Hows 20th Century Boys, is it nice?

To artunee, who is going to watch YUI 3rd tour: 本当に、本当にありがとうございます。ご馳走になっており、しかも色々なところへ連れていただいて、この二日間、本当にお世話になりました。

All I can say is thank you for the warm hospitality I received during my trip in Bangkok. I really, really appreciate it. Hope to meet you guys again someday, bring me to eat street food with weird names next time~ Do come to Malaysia if you guys have the time =D

Special thanks to Annie Lau for getting the cheap and fine hostel and letting me know where to buy that...stuff.

Next stop, Singapore. I request super grand guitar session!! And NUS, NTU, Guitar Stores tour, meet up with XiaXue, Laozhabo LOL.

PS: Even though nowadays I let others to stalk YUI infos and downloads, that doesn't mean that my stalking skills has gone rusty. I have 'discovered' a couple of English YUI related blogs. So far, I like yupeh or Rob's Arbitrary Essentials. It is frequent updated and full with lots of hidden stuff waiting to be discovered. Plus, he is a YUI stalker too.

Just that, I'm not a fan of LiveJournal *Runs Away* I felt as if I'm isolated from this community because I don't have a LJ account.

PPS: I'm officially JLPT Level 2 now. Time to edit my ROCKIN' ON JAPAN posts.

April 2008 B-Pass has Namidairo Chords. I'm going to do questions in that Japanese workbook for the next 40 days, for fun O_O

The translation of ROCKIN' ON is still ongoing, I repeat: I will do the translation, I started it so I will finish it, hopefully that day when I finish this will come, soon, lol.

YUI's 21st Birthday Present

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Misc YUI Facts:

I wonder what YUI was doing in front of this large statue of Buddha in Kamakura. Another PV?

EDIT: It was photo shooting for magazines. YUI mentioned about this in her diary entry.

Check out my rant on YUI's New American Telecaster in YL.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That long letter was written by Teo in weird Japanese. She did a cheesy audio for Kami-Hikoki Voice Diary too (A segment in YUI Locks).

Since we have started The Second YUI-Lover Collaboration on January, I was amazed over and over again by the fact that even though we never met each other, we can still do a lot of things together. Awesome things that kick-@ss.

After two months, our CD has finally completed. With the participation of our talented bunch of musicians, singers, ever supportive YL members, not to mention impressive CD design by Natalie (I absolutely love her Acoustic Monster Tee), and the man who did all the behind the scenes thingy, including uploading, sound mixing, and sending the package, dear Snakey.

More details can be found at YUI-Lover dot com.

As a Project Organizer for the very first time, hereby I have to thank you guys for participating, providing supports and valuable comments, I have relisten to the songs over and over again, reread your comments for the xxxxth time, such things can make me a happy girl, and realised how much dear YUI has influenced me, enriched my life since I discovered her greatness 2 years ago.

I still haven't tell you guys my outing with Thai YUI fans, again thanks to YUI, I had a chance to hang out with local Thai people, and all of us are YUI fans! Sneak peak of the outing can be found at YUI-th Forum. They are really a bunch of nice people, I can safely say, YUI fans are good people lol. I'm the one in black polo T. That two girls beside me are NOT YUI fans, haha.

So lets us hope that this present from us will reach YUI safely. If she ever plays one of the song, or even wears on Acoustic Monster Tee, that will be a plus. Of course, I hope that she will mention my name again xD

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Short announcement to Malaysians who just received their STPM results:

I am a second year student from Faculty of Languages and Linguistics (Fakulti Bahasa dan Linguistik), University of Malaya. I'm a major in Japanese Language.

So if you have a keen interest in studying languages in a scientific way, have a strong desire into learning languages such as Japanese, Spanish, French, or expand your knowledge in English, Chinese, linguistics can be your choice. The requirements are not that high, as long as you can persuade the lecturers that you are really serious about taking linguistics during interview, soon you will be my junior. It doesn't really matter how high your CGPA is, unless you wanna take English or Chinese.

Hope that you guys will pursue what you truly wanted. Do a little bit of research before deciding it. Don't mix up between linguistics and Social Arts (Sastera). If you are interested in UM's linguistics, do not hesitate to ask me questions.

Looking forward to see all my future juniors in July~

More Options to Order Marimokkori

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Misc YUI Facts:

Congrats YUI for winning Best Pop Video in SPACE SHOWER Music Video Awards 08!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Singapore and Malacca YUI Lovers, CCDDSS is organising a Green Flying Marimokkori MO. She will be ordering from Strapya-world, GREEN only.

I think it is better for Singaporeans and Malacca YLs who have ordered from me, to order from CCDDSS instead.

Meanwhile, our small experiment turned out to be successful.

They are Made in China

CDS ordered 2 Green and 2 Blue from Rakuten's Kitanomori shop on February 27, then they shipped on March 6, and reached Singapore on March 10. The shipping fees was 1520 yen. Due to miscommunication, the shipping process was delayed.

CCDDSS:" You have to keep on bugging them with email, and ask for your ems tracking number also."

My suggestion is that it is better to order from them directly or do a country based Mass Order, to save up costs and time. I will still continue my order, because I wanted to buy the laughing one personally. The problem is, Kitanomori shop only has 2 Blue Marimokkori left.

We have to track down any shop who has 15 Blue marimokkoris. I emailed another shop, Tanukiya to check whether they will restock Blue ones, and within one hour, I received their reply. Apparently there are no manufacturers making this particular model at the moment, and currently there is still no news on when they are going to continue their production.

I will try other shops in these few days, lets hope that they will restock blue Marimokkori soon.

EDIT: I have placed an order at Marimoland. 14 Blue, 6 Green.

I asked them to send to my sensei's house on March 31. I need to double confirm from you guys whether you still want it or not:

1. jo x2 - B, G (Singapore)
2. John x2 - B, G (Canada?)
3. shinji x2 - B, G (Philippines)
4. gotchi - B, G (Canada)
5. natchi - B (Malaysia)
6. kippei x2 - B,G (Malaysia)
7. PeaceViolet - B (Malaysia)
8. STEPH y. - B (Canada)
9. Riku - B (Malaysia)
10. Sherwin - B (Melaka)
11. Rob - B (Philippines)
12. chiyo - B (Malaysia)
13. akyna24 - B (Malaysia)
14. Hammie - G (Malaysia)

Each costs USD 9.43 (RM 28.57, for Malaysian), excluding shipping fees to you.

That means, I have extra 2 Blue left. What shall I do with it......Those who are interested feel free to grab the remaining ones.

Me like the concept of this picture.

Blue Marimokkori has the word HOKKAIDO in white, Green = Yellow Hokkaido

PS: I heart BKK.

YUI's New Album, I LOVED YESTERDAY to be Released on April 9

Source: YUI-net.com

Left: Limited Edition, Right: Normal Edition

Release herself out of box (跳出框框)?

Track List:

1. Laugh away
2. My Generation
3. Find me
4. No way
5. Namidairo
6. Daydreamer
7. Love is all
8. I will love you
9. We will go
10. OH YEAH
11. My friend
12. LOVE & TRUTH
13. Am I wrong?

Limited Edition comes with DVD which consists of:

- Good-bye days, I remember you, Rolling star and CHE.R.RY Music Video
- Special live images from YUI's First Budoukan live.

There you are. Announcement. Lets have a look at the song titles, I will love you omg Love is all. I smell something...can't wait to read the lyrics. People in YL forum starting to connect things through the titles, funny stuff.

As 'hinted' in Laugh away PV, the album titled I LOVED YESTERDAY. Laugh away being the first track, I think something is lacking, even though I love this song and play it some much until my fingers hurt. Speaking of album's first track, we still never have the chance to see How crazy live performance, I wonder how long Sony is planning to hide that performance from us fans.

So far, the big names who are going to release album on the same day will be Mariah Carey, Tokunaga Hideaki (and maybe ayaka). Who will get number 1?

And, the official title for YUI's upcoming tour is "YUI 3rd Tour "oui"~I LOVED YESTERDAY~

From adieu to oui (ウゥイ?). Oui means yes in French. Lucky I took French in first semester, even though I already forget most of it. I wonder why YUI didn't use si, chai, 네, yes, はい・うん・ええ, 是, betul......

Maybe oui sounds nicer. The 3rd tour will start on May 5 in Fukuoka. To those who are going, buy more sets of tour goods, then give one to me.

Till then, au revoir~

Welch in Malaysia's Cold Storage

It costs RM 3.99 at KLCC's Cold Storage, I find it too gassy. Check out this thread if you are wondering why am I introducing this drink. Everything has something to do with YUI, that's for sure.

Lets see if Thailand has bottled version or not. This coming Wednesday me will be going there, I will be meeting some members from YUI Thailand Fan Club as well. My second air trip. But,

Chan put Thai mai dai (タイ語が話せない).

Gotta pick up some other useful phrases. Before that, I have to start practise my presentation, in order not to let down my university, and my fellow Malaysian citizens, since it is an international thing. Must ask my lecturer to record lol, my first ever conference presentation.

After that, I'm gonna treat myself with some nice massage and of course, shopping.

Tomorrow there will be some announcement on YUI's new album, I wonder what will that be.

PS: Yesterday's election was interesting. Even though I'm too 'young' to vote, I managed to prove to my dad that internet >>> TV.

Hail the Internet~ Oppositions, we shall wait and see on their performance.

YUI in Music Station - Namidairo

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Misc Updates:

YUI-Lover Collaboration 2 is out!! We are going to send this to YUI for sure. I will make dear YUI mention my name again LOL.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guess how many times YUI had performed in MS? Including Special episodes.

Wuu~Wang!!

This episode of Music Station is fun.

Opening talk (modified from depyon's translation in YL):

Finally YUI has reached the status of being in the middle, besides Tamori and Mariko san, instead of standing at the corner.

Tamori: YUI chan, Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu.
YUI: Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu.
Mariko: YUI will be presenting to us her new single for the first time, which is also featured as the theme song of a TV drama, Namidairo. Last month, she got a break, and went back to her hometown, Fukuoka.
Tamori: How long were you back?
YUI: About 4 days.
Tamori: So where did you go?
YUI: I went to pay homage.....
Tamori: Pay homage?!
YUI: And went to eat tonkotsu ramen, at the shops that I used to visit.
Tamori: Which shrine did you visit?
YUI: Miyajidake..
Tamori: Miyajidake!? That's so nostalgic! I haven't heard about it for a few ten years!

Btw Teshima Aoi is from Fukuoka as well. Her voice is really beautiful. Gedo Senki puts me to sleep, even though hottie Okada Junichi is the main voice actor.

I kinda know why she is smiling. Because she made the mic work. Dreams Come True's new single cover pwns.

The oppappi guy is getting more and more famous lol. In Music Topics they have this Top 5 songs will go around you head when you pass/fail university entrance exam.

Pass:
1. Arashi - Sakurasake
2. mihimaru GT - Kibun Jyoujyou ↑↑
3. V6 - HONEY BEAT
4. Ulfuls - BANZAI ~suki de yokatta~
5. Ikimonogakari - Hana wa Sakura Kimi wa Utsukushii

Fail:
1. Zard - Makenai de T.T
2. DREAMS COME TRUE - Nando demo (that's true)
3. Aoyama Thelma feat. SoulJa - Soba ni Iru ne (SoulJa has a sexy voice)
4. Mr. Children - Owarinaki Tabi (I LOVE this song)
5. TOKIO - Honjitsu, Mijukumono (today I'm a novice LOL)

If I failed my Level 2 Japanese Language Proficiency Test, I will listen to Laugh away. Never mind, never mind....T.T

It is such a fun song to play along.

YUI's turn (translated by depyon @ YL, thanks!!).

Tamori: Next up is YUI and Kato Miliyah.
Mariko: We heard that YUI has a special way of refreshing herself when doing recording in studio.
YUI: I often spend lots of time in studio, and seldom get to go out. So I sit back deep into my chair, and imagine that I'm in an onsen.
Mariko: Just your imagination, right?
YUI: Yes, imagine that I'm in an onsen, and relax.
Tamori: Like this, right?
YUI: Yes.

Imagine you are in onsen......

Performance time~ As usual, the instrument parts are not live, and the drummer is a girl.

Martin baby~

A very solid performance, a lot of constipated look as well. Love it. Hopefully YUI will do an acoustic performance. Speaking of Namidairo, here are some interviews regarding this single (with translations by depyon @ YL).

Interview on excite music
Interview on WHAT's IN? WEB
YUI Special Interview, at Oricon Site and Pakila
YUI Diary Updates, Oricon style, Deview, etc., from Odilon Redon's Blog

Basically I just copy and paste lol. I always look forward to know YUI's explanations on her songs, as she said, everything about YUI is in her songs.

YUI interacted with some of the artists too, Kato Miliyah and Chatmonchy.

Left: Kato Miliyah is 'approaching' dear YUI and immediately YUI moved closer to her xD.
Right: Chatmonchy's bassist is showing YUI something.

Hira Hira Hiraku Himitsu no Tobira ROCKS!! Chatmonchy said that even though they are the one who made this song, there were several times they fell like skipping this song in their concerts because it is too fast paced and the lyrics is long. Playing this song is just like running a marathon lol. That's why me love Chatmonchy, I feel like learning bass now xD

Eriko san was using another Telecaster..how many Teles she actually has?? Three?

Lets go back to original question. How many times YUI had performed in MS.
Answer: Grand total of 10 times.

1. feel my soul
2. LIFE
3. Good-bye days
4. Good-bye days (MSSL)
5. Rolling star
6. CHE.R.RY (Live band)
7. My Generation
8. LOVE & TRUTH
9. CHE.R.RY (MSSL)
10. Namidairo

As I was watching last week's Music Station, Mariko san said that the lyrics shown in Shimizu Shota's HOME performance was handwritten by him. HOME is a very nice song, Shimizu Shota has an interesting background too.

Then it struck me, which means, the lyrics in feel my soul performance was YUI's handwriting?!

I feel my soul, take me away~ Oh Yamaha~

I only realised this after 2 years.

PS: Marimokkori is still under experiment, sorry with lack of updates.
